My goal in this painting was to show depth, contrast, and texture.   I like the bold yet organic edges of the mountains. I also like how the water reflects the warmth of the brown in the mountain side, as well as the green bushes that grow along the waters edge.  This painting gives me a calm and peaceful feeling.
